Community Development Programmes meant for the Upliftment of rural masses. Their problems have arisen due to various social factors such as the very nature off CDP, the roles assigned to these employees, the prevailing socioeconomic situation in rural area, the constraints of the social structure, the Bureaucratic famework in which they have to work, the sexrole norms and the like. Thus the volume brings to light one more aspect of the problem of rural development the hitherto unexplored.
