A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, whose full name was Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, was an Indian scientist and politician. He was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, and passed away on July 27, 2015. Dr. Kalam was a prominent figure in India and served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He was widely regarded as the "People's President" for his humble and down-to-earth demeanor. Before his presidency, Dr. Kalam made significant contributions to India's space and defense programs, particularly in his role as a key scientist in India's missile development programs. He played a pivotal role in the successful Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998. Dr. Kalam was not only a brilliant scientist but also a renowned author, and he inspired millions with his writings, speeches, and vision for a prosperous India. He emphasized the importance of education, innovation, and youth empowerment. His autobiography, "Wings of Fire," and his book "Ignited Minds" are among his most famous works.
