Herbert A. Popley
Herbert A. Popley (1879-196) was a Christian missionary of the London Mission, Erode, a translator, and musicologist. He was known for his translation of Tirukkural composed by a popular ancient Tamil sage Thiruvalluvar, under the title, The Sacred Kural: Or, the Tamil Veda of Tiruva??uvar.
