Guy Poitevin set up the Centre for Cooperative Research in Social Sciences, Pune (1982) for documenting grass root dynamics originating from the marginalized, exploring to that effect methods of self-investigation and interactive scientific cooperation of those concerned, geared in one way or the other to the needs of social agents.
