Indu Shekhar Thakur

Indu Shekhar Thakur is Associate Professor in the School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He has the distinction of joining Gesellschaft f?r Biotechnologische Forschung mbH (1992-1994), Braunschweig, Germany as a Postdoctoral BATI scientist, and developing biotechnological methods for degradation and bioremediation of the chlorinated compounds in the environment. He has also generated strainspecific monoclonal antibody probes against the dioxin-degrading bacteria, Sphingomonas sp. RW1, and applied it for the detection of bacterial strain for the bioremediation of dioxin.
