Kumud Ranjan Basumatary

Kumud Ranjan Basumatary was born in a village of the present-day Kokrajhar district of Assam. He graduated from Union Christian College, Shillong, with Honours in History. Soon after obtaining an MA from the North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, he had joined as a lecturer in 1990 at the Gossaigaon College. He was awarded PhD from the Bodoland University, Kokrajhar. His areas of interest lie in the reconstruction of local history, especially the historical incidents which have not been able to draw sufficient attention of the historians.
