Sudhir Chandra

Sudhir Chandra, a historian, has dedicated his career to studying the evolution of modern Indian social consciousness in response to colonial influence. In addition to his teaching positions at Melbourne University, Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia. Chandra has held visiting professorships and fellowships at prestigious institutions such as the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, Nehru Memorial Museum & Library, Heidelberg University, Cornell University, and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Currently, he serves as an Associate Fellow at IAS-Nantes since 2013, furthering his research and contributions to the field.
