Dr. Suresh Kumar C is a leading pediatrician with an impeccable orientation for social action. Dr.Kumar along with a group of socially committed like-minded friends founded the Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), an NGO, which works for native strategies for biodiversity conservation, organic and sustainable agriculture, food security, food sovereignty, and good food culture. CISSA, along with Navdanya, has initiated ?ANNAM- Good Food Movement, to create a pan-India drive against junk food, and to create an Indian civilization that realizes the impacts of junk food and its socio-environmental and health implications. Dr.Suresh is a staunch advocate and believer of traditional Indian medical wisdom.
