Dr Sukant Das

Dr Sukant Das is a medical doctor with advanced training in the field of Kidney transplantation and Nephrology. He has often taken a contrarian view challenging the conventional notions and narratives built around the pandemic, raising uncomfortable questions as to what could have been done to change the course of the pandemic. His book 'A Disrupted World' is a tale of the mysteries surrounding the origin of the COVID-19 virus, to the grave and desperate situation the world had been dragged into. He has completed DM Nephology from SGPGI and MD Internal Medicine (Gold Medal) from KGMU, Lucknow and currently working as a senior consultant in Nephrology and Renal Transplantation. He is amongst the pioneers who have been instrumental in expanding the renal transplantation program in eastern part of India. His intellectual interests include cinema, literature, popular culture, and contemporary socio- political history of the world.
