Sangeeta Sharma

Sangeeta Sharma, MD (Pharmacology), MBA (Health Care Administration), is currently Professor and Head of the Department of Neuro psycho pharmacology, Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS), Delhi. She is the author of the famous book Standard Treatment Guidelines: a Manual for Medical Therapeutics. She is also the President of the Delhi Society for Promotion and Rational Use of Drugs (DSPRUD). Dr. Sharma has a diversified experience in health, as Secretary, Medical Council of India, Medical Superintendent of IHBAS and Technical Co-ordinator, WHO INDIA Essential Drugs Programme. She is actively involved in development and implementation of quality assurance programs in public hospitals. She is also a guest faculty for NABH, Quality Council of India, for implementation of medication management module and Post Graduate Diploma in Healthcare Quality Management (PGDHQM), Tata institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai and Faculty of Management Studies and University of Delhi. She has developed training programs on building skills that improve rational use of medicines, patient safety and quality of care and has conducted around 200 workshops for doctors, pharmacists, nurses and policy makers. She has several publications in international and national journals of repute.
