Dr Punitha Vijaya Ezhilarasu

Dr Punitha Vijaya Ezhilarasu, PhD (N), is presently working as Consultant, Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. She has served as Dean of College of Nursing and Deputy Nursing Superintendent at Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, India. During her tenure as the Dean, the WHO Collaborating Centre was established with her efforts. She was also instrumental in obtaining five star rating by NAAC and for establishing a study center for National PhD consortium at the College of Nursing, CMC. She was a WHO consultant for Nursing Education to Sri Lanka and has served in various national expert committees at the Indian Nursing Council and Government of India. Dr Ezhilarasu is the recipient of the National Florence Nightingale Award. She was the founder Editor of the Indian Journal of Continuing Nursing Education. Her research interests are valuebased education, problem?based learning, and learning and teaching styles. She is a passionate teacher who is loved and appreciated by her students and associates.
