
Ganeswar Mishra; Bikram K. Das
Ganeswar Mishra is an author and translator who has published both fiction and non-fiction and has also edited several texts in Odia and English. He has won several awards and distinctions. Educated at Utkal, Kent, and London universities, he taught at Utkal University for long. He was president, Odisha Sahitya Akademi, and founder-editor of the Odia daily Prameya. Bikram K. Das was a professor at the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages, Hyderabad and the National University of Singapore. He has translated many Odia books into English including Gopinath Mohanty?s Paraja and The Survivor and J.P. Das?s The Pukka Sahib. His translation of Paraja had won him the first Sahitya Akademi Translation Award in 1989.
