Noor Zaheer

Noor Zaheer is a researcher and social worker. Apart from actively participating in research work, Noor Zaheer has written the Delhi Hindi Academy Award winner book Mere Hisse ki Roshni, Surkh Karwan ke Humsafar, a travelogue of Pakistan and Bad Uraiyya, a novel. Recipient of Senior Fellowship from the Department of Culture for ?Surviving on the Edge?, an analysis of the performing arts of the tribes of the north-western border of India, and the Times Fellowship for ?The Changing Face of Theatre in Northern India?, Noor is at present working on the Buddhist Monasteries of Himachal Pradesh, documenting the oral traditions and the performing arts of the Lama tradition
