Alok Pandey

Dr. Alok Pandey is a resident doctor at the old-age unit of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. He completed his MBBS and MD in psychiatry from the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, and served in the Indian Air Force for 20 years before taking premature retirement in 2003. Since then, he has been working in the medical department of the ashram. His search for deeper existential answers led him to explore both Western and Eastern traditions, but it was the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother that profoundly influenced him, guiding him towards the practice of Integral Yoga as given by Sri Aurobindo. Dr. Pandey has authored several books, including Death, Dying and Beyond, Patient at the Crossroads, Veda of the Body, Writings on Savitri, Talks on Savitri, The Eternal Feminine, Glory of the Divine Mother, and Glory of the Lord. Many of these works have been translated into multiple languages.
