Pramod Kumar Gupta has been an officer of the Indian Revenue Service (1984 batch). After his superannuation as a Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in October, 2019, he functioned as the CEO and the Director General of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers? Association of India. He suffered a haemorrhagic stroke in April, 2021 which was a near-death experience for him. He has been active with his pen even though convalescing. ?And Living Again? was published in 2023. A collection of small poems in Hindi, captioned ?Avyakta? was published simultaneously.
