Mira Seth is a distinguished art historian who has an academic background in the disciplines of history, economics, and art history. She brings this interdisciplinary approach to the study of art and believes that Indian art should be studied in the context of aesthetics and techniques and that it is a product of its geographical, historical, social, and economic background. She has spent more than four decades on the study of Indian murals and frescoes. She lives in India.
