Yashwant Mande

The Girl from Himachal and other stories?Yashwant Mande Yashwant Mande was born in Faizabad, UP on 18 November 1933. He served in the army for more than 37 years and reached the rank of Lt General. Literature has been a passion with him from the school days. He did B.A. and M.A. privately during the service. Throughout his service, he spent a considerable time in pursuit of literature, social sciences and philosophy. He took to writing fiction earnestly after his retirement. He has travelled widely. His exposure, experience and knowledge have enabled him to write interesting stories on variety of topics. He writes both in English and Hindi. His four books; two in English and two in Hindi have already been published and greatly liked by the readers.
