Dr. N.M. Ghatate

Dr. N.M. Ghatate, a former Vice Chairman of the Law Commission of India, is a senior advocate in the Supreme Court of India. A post-graduate and recipient of a doctoral degree in International Relations from the School of International Service, the American University, Washington, DC, he was a lecturer of International Relations in the US and India. He has participated in several seminars in India and abroad. His interest in law, international relations and contemporary politics prompted him to write several research articles on these subjects. He has written books titled: ?Emergency Constitution and Democracy: An Indian Experience? and ?India?s Disarmament Policy?. He has edited several books including: ?Indo-Soviet Treat; Reactions and Reflections?; ?Bangladesh: Crisis and Consequences?; ?Revoke Emergency?. He has also edited former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee?s ?Four Decades in Parliament? and ?A Constructive Parliament?.
