
Dr. Radhakrishnan
Dr. S. Radhakrishnan was the first vice president (1952-1962) and the second president of India. He was a propagator of Indian culture, a famous scholar, great philosopher, acclaimed author and a dedicated Hindu thinker. For these many accomplishments, he was awarded the highest honour, the Bharat Ratna in 1954. His birthday is celebrated across the country as Teachers' Day.
