
KUNWAR NARAIN
Kunwar Narain was born in 1927, spending his early years in Ayodhya and Faizabad, before moving to Lucknow and then later, Delhi. His literary output spans more than half a century, comprising poetry, short stories, literary criticism, essays, translations and varied writings on cinema, music, history and art. His works have been translated nationally and internationally. He is the winner of the Kabir Samman, Sahitya Akademi Award, Kumaran Asan, Vyas Samman, Shalaka Saman, Warsaw University's honorary medal and Italy's Premio FeroniaApurva Narain was born in Calcutta in 1967 and grew up in Lucknow and Delhi. He studied at St. Stephen's College and IIM, as well as the University of Cambridge. A former corporate consultant with Price Waterhouse, he now works in ecology-development, has edited a journal and has research interests in the philosophy of ecological economics. Literature has always been an abiding passion. Based in Delhi, he divides his time among India, England and France.
