
Kapil Kumar
Kapil Kumar is currently a Sr. fellow at Nehru Memorial Museum and Library. He superanuated from IGNOU as Director, Centre for Freedom Struggle and Diaspora Studies and Chairperson History Faculty. He has been a visiting professor to Monash University, University of Catania, University of West Indies and Anton De Kom University Suriname. He has authored 4 books and has published a number of research papers and articles besides presenting papers in many national and international conferences.
He has been a member of the Press Council of India, Indian Council of Historical Research and many other national bodies. He has also been Director, Electronic Media Production Centre, Director, School of Social Sciences and Director, Centre for Extension Education, IGNOU.
Professor Kumar has designed and penned the content for 4 museums at Red Fort, Delhi-1857, Yaad-a-Jalian, Azadi kai Dewanai, Netaji and INA. He was also Chief Historian for the museum's Icons of Nationalism from the Soil of Bengal, at National Library, Kolkata and the Jalian wala Bagh Museum, Amritsar. He has 46 years of teaching and research experience having also served in colleges of Meerut and Delhi Universities.
