The book grew out of the experience of two Hungarian physicists, Gnadig-Honyek and an English physicist Ken Riley - and follows the spirit of problem-solving with some elegant brain-work and slick physical arguments. Its quite well-known that many Hungarians/Englishmen have been great problem-proposers and solvers, and this book maintains the spirit.\n\nThe focus of the book is classical physics and there is quite some emphasis on mechanics (including gravitation). Problems from other topics such as electrodynamics, thermodynamics are treated as well. The book fully tests a physicist and his ability to reason. In the words of the authors, its meant for "the exceptional high school student, the good undergraduate and the competent graduate student". Also, by throwing in real life problems, the authors have really make the book come alive - in fact, this book makes physics appear as a real science!\n\nCaveat: Not for the faint of the heart!\n\nConcluding Remarks: The book is a problem primer on classical physics, a gymnasium for those who like to flex their muscles in their brain and a must for people participating in physics contests, such as the physics olympiads!
