डॉ. हैदर अली - हिन्दी-उर्दू साहित्य के अन्तर्सम्बन्धों में गहरी दिलचस्पी रखने वाले युवा लेखक हैदर अली का जन्म गाँव रटौल, (बागपत), यू.पी. में हुआ। प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा गाँव के मिशनरी स्कूल से। बी.ए. से पीएच.डी. तक की शिक्षा जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया नयी दिल्ली से। प्रतिष्ठित साहित्यिक पत्र-पत्रिकाओं, यथा हंस, नया ज्ञानोदय, आजकल, वर्तमान साहित्य, चाणक्य वार्ता, देस हरियाणा व नयापथ आदि में लगातार लेखन के अतिरिक्त एक पत्रिका 'नया सवेरा भारत' के सम्पादन से भी जुड़े हुए है। अब तक तीन पुस्तक 'हिन्दी-उर्दू के उपन्यासों में सुधारवादी चेतना', 'पहली बारिश' तथा 'हिन्दुस्तानीयत का राही' प्रकाशित। 'विलायत के अजूबे' राजकमल से शीघ्र प्रकाश्य। इसके अलावा उर्दू की कई महत्त्वपूर्ण पुस्तकों का हिन्दी में अनुवाद करने में लगे है। 'हिन्दी उर्दू के प्रसिद्ध व्यंग्यकार' पुस्तक की योजना पर कार्य जारी है। जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया के हिन्दी विभाग में असिस्टेंट प्रोफ़ेसर के पद पर कार्यरत हैं।
