Novelist and short story writer Benyamin's Aadujeevitham (Goat Days ) was a huge success that has been reprinted more than a hundred times and has sold over two lakh copies. It won him the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award and has been translated into many languages. In 218, his novel Jasmine Days won the inaugural JCB Prize for Literature. Shahnaz Habib teaches writing at The New School and Bay Path University, and consults for the United Nations. Born and raised in Kerala, she now lives in New York.
