History of Haryana is considered to be the beginning history of India. Haryana is also called the centre of Indian culture. The Harappan and the Vedic civilization flourished on the banks of the Sarswati and the Drishadvati rivers that flow through Haryana and because of this it is called the land of Hari the Supreme God of the Puranas. Archaeological remains throw light on the ancient history of Haryana as well as tries to connect the shattered chains of history. Archaeological evidence discovered till date link the unconnected chains of history as well as provide authenticity to History.\n\nThis books throws adequate light on the history of the Gohana region in Sonepat district. The history of this area that has lost life due to the lack of literary evidence has gained prominence once again because of recent archaeological investigations by Indian and Western scholars.

Dr. Vinay Kumar completed his master degree with History in 2006 from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. He obtained his M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in 2007 and 2014 respectively from Kurukeshetra University. To his credit, he has twenty articles published in various national and international journals and presented ten research papers at national seminars and conferences. Presently, he is working at the Department of History in Govt. College for Women, Madlauda, district Panipat (Haryana).
