Dr. Bibekanand Mallick is an Associate Professor and former HOD of the Department of Life Science at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela. He has an excellent academic career from reputed alma maters viz. Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata, and Wadsworth Center, New York State Department of Health, United States. He has teaching and research experiences for more than a decade in biological sciences with a special research focus on gene silencing in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. He is the author of several international scientific publications, book chapters, and has published books from renowned publishers like Elsevier, USA, Oxford University Press, India, and Springer-Verlag, Heidelberg, Germany. He is also serving as Editor of some renowned journals such as Scientific Reports (a Nature Publishing Group journal) and PLoS One. He has been conferred with Member of the National Academy of Science, India (MNASc) due to his significant contribution to biological research.
