Real name, Fujimoto Hiroshi. Born on December 1, 1933 in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. He made his debut as a manga artist in 1951 with ?Tenshi no Tama-chan?. As Fujiko F Fujio, he continued to write mainly for ?Doraemon? and ushered in a new era of children?s manga. His major works include ?Doraemon?, ?Obake no Q-taro (co-authored)?, ?Perman?, ?Kiteretsu Daihyakka?, ?Esper Mami?, ?SF Short Story? series, and many other masterpieces. In September 2011, the ?Kawasaki City FUJIKO F FUJIO Museum? opened. The museum honors Fujiko F Fujio by exhibiting his original drawings.
