Engineering Chemistry presents the subject with the aim of providing clear and sufficient understanding of chemistry to the students of engineering, as the same is imperative for any successful engineering. Some chapters in the book deal with the basic principles of chemistry while others are focused on its applied aspects, providing the correct interphase between the principles of chemistry and engineering.
R.V. Gadag retired as Professor, Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, after having taught there for 37 years at various levels. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Karnataka University, Dharwad and Ph.D. from Mysore University. He has 25 research papers in national and international journals and two books to his credit. A. Nityananda Shetty is Professor of Chemistry at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. He has been teaching there for more than 30 years. He obtained his B.Sc. degree from Mysore University and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Mangalore University. He has published more than 100 research papers in national and international journals, and more than 60 papers in conference proceedings. He has four books to his credit.
