The book aims to create awareness about ecology, field Biology and their applied aspects with special emphasis on diversity, pollution & environmental protection acts. It provides an in-depth information on some of the endangered animals with a note on their life cycle, habits and habitats and causes for their decline. The book also describes the life cycle of some common photo- and zooplanktons and Vertebrates and explains their ecological significance.
Vartika Mathur. In her 6 years of teaching experience, she has gained expertise in teaching Ecology and Environmental Management to B.Sc. (Hons. and Gen.) students of University of Delhi. She is currently holding NUFFIC fellowship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Netherlands, to pursue Ph.D. from Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO-KNAW) and Wageningen University, the Netherlands, and is working on direct and indirect defences in Indian mustard.
