In Olden times, both India and Jambu dvipa were sacred islands and their sacredness is accepted in Brahamnic, Buddhist and Jain religious literatures. In ancient times, India was not the same topographically as she stands now. In this study, The Author has made a laudable attempt to trace the History of such topographical changes which have taken place since A Few centuries prior to the Christian era.
