Prakash C. Jain is on the faculty of the Centre for West Asian & African Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The author of Racial Discrimination Against Overseas Indians: A Class Analysis (199); Indians in South Africa: Political Economy of Race Relations (1999) and Population and Society in West Asia: Essays in Comparative Demography (21), Dr. Jain has to his credit a number of articles published in Indian and foreign journals. He has also co-edited Contemporary Iran and Emerging Indo-Iranian Relations (1996). Dr. Jain has done fieldwork on Indian communities in Canada, Guyana, South Africa and some of the Persian Gulf countries. \n
