Karma and the Snow Lion is the story of an incredible encounter. Karma, a young pashmina goat, meets the mythic snow lion—in a dream! Through this encounter, he discovers his ancestry and that of his custodians like never before. The snow lion instils in him the desire to learn more of his culture, especially his mother tongue, and keeps alive his ancestral connection with Tibet.\n
Jordan Quill is currently completing his PhD in the History of Art at The Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London, on the textiles of northern India. He holds an MPhil in Tibetan and Himalayan Studies from the University of Oxford and is especially interested in contact between India, Tibet, and the Himalayas throughout history. He has studied the Tibetan language for over six years and regularly visits the Himalayan town of McLeodganj, the current home of His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama.
