The book is well illustrated with real-time clinical photographs, diagrams, imaging studies, tables, and flowcharts so that the student understands the basic fundamentals of the subject. The book is by no means exhaustive and does not replace the textbooks which are essential to read but gives an insight into the specialty of otolaryngology- Head and Neck surgery. The writing format is student friendly, concise and easy to read and practically-oriented.
Dr. P. L. Dhingra is presently working as Emeritus consultant of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck surgery at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. Formerly he was a Director, Professor and Head of Department of ENT and Head and Neck surgery at Maulana Azad Medical College and associated hospitals- the premier institutions of Medical Education and Research. He has several papers to his credits published in National and International journals. He has been dedicated teacher and surgeon, he has taught and trained undergraduate and post undergraduate and post-graduate students pursuing MBBS, DLO and MS for more than four decades. He is also the author of famous book on Diseases of Ear, Nose and throat and Head and Neck surgery which is now running the silver jubilee edition. He also authored MCQ?s in ENT- the self-study and self-assessment manual.
