This volume assembles the text of Manu, including an apparatus containing the significant manuscript variants, along with a translation, notes, and an introduction on the structure, content, and socio-political context of the treatise.
Patric Olivelle is the Chair, Department of Asian Studies and Director, Center for Asian Studies, at the University of Texas at Austin, where he is the Professor of Sanskrit and Indian Religion.
