MOTLY HARMLESS

  • Format:

Mostly Harmless: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Part Five The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has, in what we laughingly call the past, a great deal to say on the subject of parallel universes. Very little of this is, however, at all comprehensible to anyone below the level of Advanced God, and since it is now well-established that all known gods came into existence a good three millionths of a second after the Universe began rather than, as they usually claimed, the previous week, they already have a great deal of explaining to do as it is, and are therefore not available for comment at this time . . . VOLUME FIVE IN THE TRILOGY OF FIVE

Douglas Adams was born in 1952 and created all the various and contradictory manifestations of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: radio, novels, TV, computer game, stage adaptations, comic book and bath towel. He lectured and broadcast around the world and was a patron of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and Save the Rhino International. Douglas Adams was born in Cambridge, UK and lived with his wife and daughter in Islington, London, before moving to Santa Barbara, California, where he died suddenly in 21. In addition to Hitchhiker, he is the author of the Dirk Gently novels: Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul and the unfinished The Salmon of Doubt.
