Prof OP Kharbanda is Head, Division of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Deformities and CHIEF, Centre for Dental Education and Research at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Dr Kharbanda is an internationally acclaimed postgraduate teacher and an invited international visiting Professor at several universities around the world. His vast experience in treating a wide variety of complex malocclusions and facial deformities is aptly reflected in the book. Prof Kharbanda supervised 100+MD/MS/MDS/MCh/PhD/Fellowship theses. With 150 + manuscript publications and book chapters to his credit, he is also an internationally known author, reviewer, and editor. With his vision and leadership, he evolved the discipline of dentofacial deformities and contributed to the development of the discipline of cleft and craniofacial orthodontics. Under his leadership, Centre for Dental Education and Research at AIIMS, New Delhi has now established its eminence in dental research and quality care. He is also responsible for initiating the establishment of National Referral and Research Institute of Higher Dental Studies, by the Ministry of Health, Government of India.
