The advent of the global pandemic of Coronavirus or Covid-19 has created a major global shock across different cultural economies and disabled core societal governance structures leading to an unexpected halt and limited estimation of the challenges and risks that it may incept over the time. Issues of geopolitical dysfunctions, civil rights and democracy, educational and market imbalances have led to different state institutions to revise its strategies of operations and bring about alternative solutions both at the policy and programme level to address them. \n\nMedia too has undergone a series of transformation with the advent of Covid-19 where across different countries there appears to be an injected growth in the field of digital media in order to meet the social conditions of isolation and consumer media demands. The key aim of the book is to illuminate upon the changing media landscape with the advent of the global pandemic of Covid-19 and identify the emerging trends in the socio-cultural domains of India and other global regions especially in regard to accessibility, migration and engagement. Further, the book will help in identifying the core critical challenges that are emerging across different regions and how media is acting as a mediating agent in these newly emerging trends of sociocultural change within society.
