During my third cruise over the shimmering blue waters of the Mediterranean, sipping a Jaipur gin and tonic, listening to the mesmerising, husky-voiced Bonnie Tyler, I started jotting down unconnected incidents that came to mind. I was recollecting moments and not a chronological array of events. Although I grew up in a zenith of aristocracy, I left for Delhi to join my first job with Rs. 200 in my pocket. The much-anticipated financial support from my family suddenly vanished! When I decided to migrate to Australia eighteen years later, we carried $20 each as per Reserve Bank rules, leaving behind all our savings. I made a fresh start and achieved success once again. Risky Success is my story; a starry-eyed boy from Patna who played two innings starting from zero, taking calculated risks and achieving enviable success.
