The Rupa English Hindi\n Dictionary includes features not found in most Indian bilingual dictionaries.\n At present it contains more than 20, 000 headwords and almost twice as many\n derivations, phrasal verbs and idioms. All translations have been given in simple\n Hindi keeping in view the diverse needs of English language learners in\n India. Instead of simple Hindi equivalents, descriptive meanings have been\n given for most words. Standard pronunciations of all headwords and wherever\n necessary, of their derivations have been provided in easy to decipher\n Devnagri phonetic alphabet. Combination forms (with prefixes and suffixes)\n have been fully treated. Words from science and technology have been given\n extensive coverage. Many words have acquired new or additional connotations\n in Indian English. Such connotations have been taken note of and given along\n with the original meaning or translations of words.
