Dr. Soma Mahesh Kumar is Associate Professor and Area Head of the Department of Soft Skills & Business Communication at IBS Hyderabad. He has been teaching Soft Skills & Business Communication to MBA and BBA students and management executives for the last 25 years. Besides, he has about 800 guest lectures and Management Development Programmes at reputed national institutions to his credit. He has trained about 30,000 individuals in the process. He has also published about 40 articles, case studies and conference papers. Dr. Kumar had initial training in Soft Skills at Indian Jaycees (Junior Chamber International) where he attended Speechcraft, Effective Public Speaking, Zone Trainer?s Workshop, and an array of training programmes. His association with Jaycees, Hyderabad Management Association, Lions Club, Vasavi Clubs International and Pioneer Academy enabled him to gain a wealth of experience. He was associated with the industry for about 18 years and the industry experience and exposure complement his academic skills. He has been a member of AACSB, NAAC, BOS (Board of Studies), Academic Council, Admission and IQAC teams at IBS Hyderabad and IFHE (ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education).
