Strī Dharma Paddhatiḥ Part 2 & 3

  • Format:

The Strī Dharma Paddhatiḥ unveils the Vaidika sādhanā mārg which is customised for a woman’s body and mind. As the English translation and interpretation of the 18th-century Saṃskṛtam compilation titled "Strīdharmapaddhatiḥ" by Tryambakayajvan, this book stands as a reliable authority on the religious and spiritual practices of Hindu women according to the Veda-s and Śāstra-s. This book takes a scientific approach to interpreting the Saṃskṛtam verses, using the language of the subtle science of tridoṣa-s, nāḍī-s, pañcaprāṇa-s, marma-s and cakra-s to help us comprehend how the Ṛ ṣ i-s perceived reality. It draws on ancient sciences such as Āyurveda, Tantra, Vāstu and Jyotiṣa Śāstra, as well as modern research studies, offering a comprehensive understanding of the advanced science behind Hindu rituals and traditions. Part 2 of the book explains the common rules or Sādhāraṇa Dharma, including the important rules of Rajaswalā Dharma (menstruation) and Garbhiṇī Dharma (pregnancy). This section also clarifies the misunderstood practices of Sahagamana (sati) and Vidhavā Dharma (for widows), which will be an eye-opener. Parts 2 and 3 of this book reveal the sādhanā paddhatiḥ of exceptional women from the Veda-s and Purāṇa -s, such as Lopāmudra, Draupadī, Anasūya, Kauśalya, Sītā, Śāndili, Oghavatī, Savitrī and others, offering insights into the practices which made them well-known. By following the prescriptions of the Strī Dharma Paddhatiḥ, the Rishi-s have said that a woman can have it all: fulfilment of desires in this world and attainment of the highest goal in the next world.
