Leila Seth is an eminent judge and played a major role in the removal of gender bias in the Indian legal framework. She is the first woman judge from the Delhi High Court, and played a key role in making gender-related amendments to various Indian laws. She is also the mother of the world famous author Vikram Seth. Leila Seth has written and released her autobiography, On Balance, which chronicles her initial struggles in life, experiences with the law, her marriage, and her personal life.
