Alok Sud is a Director - Professor, Department of Orthopaedics at Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi. He has more than 20 years of teaching experience and has been involved actively in research projects through his tenure. He has published more than 25 papers in various national and international peer-reviewed journals and has contributed in book chapters. He has been a scholar and was awarded the Shri Banwari Lal Memorial Medal for best House Surgeon in 1994-95, for being the best Post Graduate student of Orthopaedics. Dr. Sud was also selected for the prestigious Commonwealth Fellowship in 2011-12, under which he completed his fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics and spinal deformity at the Royal Hospital for sick children, Edinburgh. He is very active and well connected in the community, and is an active member of Delhi Orthopedics Association and Indian Orthopedics Association; Life member of POSI; Life member of ASAMI; Life member of Indian Society for Surgery of Hand; Fellow of International College of Surgeons (FICS); and has been co-opted member(Pediatric Orthopedics Surgery) for Indian Journal of Orthopedics.
