This book is a collection of six lectures on the ‘Age of the Imperial Guptas’ delivered at the Banaras Hindu University by renowned scholar R.D. Bannerji in 1924. About the Author Rakhaldas Bannerji (1885-193) was an eminent Indian arch­aeologist, historian and museum expert. He is mostly known as the dis­coverer of Mohenjo-Daro, the principal site of the Harappan culture. He is the author of several books including the two volume Banglar Itihas (History of Bengal); History of India, Mohenjo-Daro (in Bengali) and several?other?books?on?Indian?history. \n
