After that, you learn how to survive, though many prisoners carry lifelong scars.\n\n\nThe Feared brings together interviews conducted by Neeta Kolhatkar with eleven political prisoners, and in some cases, their loved ones, in which she highlights the interviewees’ everyday lives within the walls of multiple prisons across India. In doing so, she calls urgent attention to the grave injustices meted out to the thousands of undertrials dissent in the political life of India today.
Neeta Kolhatkar is a senior journalist from Mumbai, with over 35 years of experience in broadcast, print and digital media. In 2008, she won the Mumbai Mayor?s Award for Excellence in Journalism. Powered by a Master?s in Social Work, she has focused on marginalised communities and human rights issues. Moreover, she equipped herself with the Rotary certificate course in Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies (2009), from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok in 2009.
