The book is a translation of a selection of tales from the Bhagavata rendered in free English verse by Shri Dilip Kimar Roy. The theme of the poems in the Bhagavata is that of absolute self-surrender to God and worship of the Father whose children we are-sparks, as it were, of that Divine Fire from which creation was ignited. This dominating conception is superbly summed up by Shri Roy in this book.
