Dr Philippa Kaye is a GP, author and media medic and describes herself as a rather irritating cliche in that she really did always want to be a doctor apart from a very brief spell of aspiring to be a ballerina. She went to medical school at Downing College, Cambridge and then Guy's, King's and St Thomas' medical school before training to be a GP. She believes that one of the core medical skills is being able to translate 'medicalese' into English and uses this skill in her media work, books and in her regular appearances on the sofas of daytime TV and as the resident GP on Sky News Breakfast. She has a particular interest in women's, children's and sexual health and is an ambassador for the charity Wellbeing of Women as well as being a women's health campaigner. Dr Philippa Kaye was once optimistically measured at 5ft and 3/4 of an inch. That 3/4 of an inch (which may or may not actually be present) is very important to her and should not be forgotten'
