The Kashmir issue raises many questions which solicit answers on an urgent basis. It has since 1947 fostered violence on numerous occasions leading to wars between India and Pakistan, social tension with in the region, and difference between the state tensions within the region, and difference between the State and the Central Governments on issues relating to division of powers.
