\nDespite the Paradigms Shifts in the substantial as well as procedural laws related to sexual offences over the years, it is witnessed that these laws still have not been able to reconcile successfully with the ground realities and the established principles of criminal law and thus have failed in providing adequate protection to such victims and securing the conviction of the preparator of such crimes which has always remained low. This Book not only looks into the gaps which are still in existence despite the paradigms shifts made to such laws but also examines various social legal and Human rights issues that arise from sexual offences laws in existence in India by providing a comprehensive critical analysis of various existing laws, developments/ amendments made with respect to laws pertaining to sexual offences under the Indian Penal Code in the year 1983, 2013, and 2018, as well as in POCSO and POSH Act while exploring the judicial trends as well. It also highlights the need for obtaining gender neutrality in the said laws by presenting an understanding of crime as a crime against bodily integrity of a person irrespective of any gender for the formation of a better and developed India with progressive criminal laws for the 21st century.
