Wake Up, Ali... Wake Up Now utilizes an archetypal migration story, told through recognizable migrant characters, to highlight a theme that is most relevant today—in a world where we all face unrelenting pressures to strive and succeed, we are all migrants and rootless in some way, both at the material and spiritual level. After all, what more can men do when faced with the death of their self-image? Or are they capacitated to re-invent a new free self-image for them?
Sumit Sharma Sameer is a graduate of the London School of Economics, UK and Queen?s University, Canada. He completed his under-graduation in Sociology from Loyola College, Chennai, India. This is his first work of fiction.
